NG Bailey win Outstanding Contribution to Innovation Award at the Morgan Sindall Supply Chain Awards 2023

Last night NG Bailey’s Strategic Project team were delighted to win the Outstanding Contribution to Innovation Award at the Morgan Sindall Supply Chain Awards.

This award is in recognition of our work but pays particular homage to the work we have produced for the Replacement Analytic Project at Sellafield, where we have delivered a volumetric modular approach to the project with an interstitial floor through our Offsite Manufacture team.  The 39-box solution included structural steel, concrete floor, modular security walls, firestopping and full MEP and specialist system integration.

The benefits of this approach are Safer, Better, Faster and Greener, with 52% of resources removed from site with an 80% reduction in on-site welding.  There was a 70% programme reduction, bringing significant savings to the project, along with a 75% reduction in deliveries to site.

Using our NG Bailey developed carbon calculator, we have estimated that this innovative approach may save us circa 30 tonnes of carbon.
