Welcome to our new apprentices

This week we welcomed 53 new apprentices for 2023 into the business.

Our apprenticeship programme continues to go from strength to strength and we received an amazing 2300 applications, and we were really impressed with the calibre of applicants, which made the task of selecting the right candidates very difficult.

Between them, these talented individuals, who have been selected to begin their career journeys with us, will undertake various roles across the Group, including two new apprenticeship programmes in our IT services business.

The first step on their journey is an induction, which gives our apprentices a greater insight into who we are, what we do, and what is expected of them. They also had the opportunity to meet their Apprenticeship Development Partners and get to know their apprentice colleagues.

The induction was held at the Queens Hotel in Leeds where our apprentices undertook a variety of workshops and tasks and listened to some of our former apprentices and guest speakers from our senior management teams, as well as presentations from NG Bailey family members, Chris Bailey, and Claire East, both Non-Executive Directors.

Chris and Claire said, "For pushing 90 years, our apprenticeship programme has been at the heart of NG Bailey and the foundation upon which so many careers have been built.  As we strive to the future, it’s great to see the inclusion of IT services apprenticeships in our well-established programme portfolio.

These new additions will further enhance our technical abilities and provide even greater launchpads for careers in our sector and industry at large."

The next step will see them joining our teams to kickstart their apprenticeships in offices and on sites in locations spanning the length of the UK.

We wish them every success in their apprenticeship journey with us.
