Apprenticeships

2026 ROLES NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS

How to apply

Below you will find the apprenticeships we have available this year, where they are located and when you can apply.

When your location is live, simply click on the apply now button and this will take you to our career portal. From here you can filter by location and find the apprenticeship role you are interested in applying for.

Why don’t you set a reminder in your phone so you can start your application as soon as the apprenticeship you are interested in goes live. Some of our apprenticeships are very popular and we reserve the right to close applications early should we exceed the capacity for any of our advertised apprenticeship role

We understand that some candidates may use AI tools for support with their applications. However, it is important for us to get a feel for who you are, as this helps us understand why you're interested in this opportunity. If you choose to use AI assistance, the final response should reflect your own words, ideas, and experiences.

Why choose an NG Bailey apprenticeship?

Kick-start your career with us!

At NG Bailey, we know the opportunities apprenticeships can create, the value they bring to a business, and how they are helping to shape the future of our industry.

We welcomed our first apprentice in 1934 and continue to train and develop apprentices over 90 years later.

Apprenticeships are open to all who meet the entry criteria, no matter what your age or background, often making an apprenticeship the best option if you’re looking to change your career or upskill your role.

Our industry-leading approach develops the behaviours, skills, knowledge, and experience our apprentices need to build a successful career. We work in partnership with a national network of colleges to offer some of the best training in the industry.

As one of our apprentices, you will be fully supported throughout your programme with us. Our Early Careers team make sure you get the best out of the business, and the business gets the best out of you.

We are also a member of The 5% Club and join a select group of companies committed to increasing the number of apprentices and graduates in the workforce.

Who you'll be working with

In your apprenticeship role with us, you could be based in an office, on-site, working on one of our client’s contracts or visiting different locations in a mobile capacity.

Our apprenticeships are based with the following teams within the NG Bailey Group:

Built Environment

Engineering specialises in the design, offsite manufacture and installation of mechanical and electrical solutions, delivering projects throughout the built environment for a range of clients.

Facilities Services maintains exceptional spaces through mechanical and electrical, planned and reactive, integrated building service maintenance.

IT Services

IT Services delivers integrated IT infrastructure and managed services that transform what’s possible in connectivity, data management, and analysis.

Freedom

Freedom advises, designs, connects, builds, maintains, and renews electricity infrastructure assets, to keep homes and businesses across the UK connected.

What apprenticeships are available this year?

For 2026 we have 70 apprenticeship roles available across the business – as far North as Inverness and as far South as Portsmouth.

Each role supports either our Built Environment division, which includes Engineering and Facilities Services, or our IT services and Freedom teams.

Roles will be released in phases by location over the coming weeks.

Meet our apprentices

As an apprentice, your role incorporates a variety of different tasks, activities, and projects, so it’s likely that no two days will be ever the same.

By working with different departments and people across our business, it allows you to gain a better understanding of what we do, develop the skills and qualities relevant to your role, and build key relationships with others.

We’ll let some of our current apprentices tell you more about their daily activities, the advantages of an apprenticeship, why they chose an apprenticeship with us and what advice they would give to applicants:
