Beekeeping project
At St John’s Shopping Centre in Liverpool, our teams have brought this ethos to life through an initiative that’s become a genuine point of pride, our on-site beekeeping project.
Supporting over 180,000 bees, this isn’t just about sustainability, it’s about people.
The initiative has created a unique way for our technical services team to engage beyond their traditional roles, helping to reduce stress, support wellbeing and build a stronger connection to the place they help maintain every day.
It’s also opened conversations around neurodiversity, offering a calming, inclusive activity that resonates with different ways of thinking and working.
Through the Life of the Honeybees sessions with local schools, we’re helping bring sustainability to life for the next generation, while the honey produced is shared within the community, strengthening ties beyond the estate itself.
It’s a reminder that great facilities management isn’t just about buildings, it’s about creating environments where people and communities can thrive.
