Supporting Biodiversity Through Ecological Land Management
On World Wildlife Conservation Day, we highlight the importance of protecting biodiversity through responsible land management and ecological best practice.
Our Freedom Environmental Land Management team works with clients to protect priority species and habitats through targeted ecological mitigation. This includes buffer zones, seasonal timing of works and ecological supervision to reduce environmental impact.
Our assessments help maintain green corridors for species such as bats and dormice, while watercourse surveys support the protection of otters, water voles and amphibians.
Across Suffolk and East Anglia, our teams are undertaking licensed badger works and overseeing carefully managed vegetation clearance to safeguard local wildlife.
Alongside mitigation, we support clients in delivering net biodiversity gains by creating and enhancing habitats, including species-rich grassland and native hedgerows, leaving a positive ecological legacy.
