Apprentice Sapphire recognised at Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards
Electrical Apprentice, Sapphire Brooks, was named as a Level 3 Intermediate Apprentice of the Year finalist at the 2025 year’s Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards.
The awards celebrate the talent and contribution of multicultural apprentices across Britain, alongside the employers and learning providers who support them.
Sapphire is part of our Engineering team in London and is currently in the third year of her apprenticeship. Since joining the business, she has demonstrated both technical capability and a strong commitment to professional development.
“It was exciting to find out I was a finalist at the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards 2025. Reflecting on how far I’ve come during my time with NG Bailey, and the incredible support I’ve received from colleagues who have encouraged, guided and believed in me along the way, makes this an incredible honour that I’m truly grateful for. Being nominated as one of the few black female apprentices in the industry is a sign that we’re making progress, but also a reminder of the important work that still lies ahead to achieve greater representation and inclusion. I’m proud to be a woman in construction, every day I get to prove that skill and purpose aren’t defined by gender.”
