What our workforce has to say
Tom Mackay
Role: Electrician
Currently works: North East
My role: As an electrician I undertake tasks to the client’s specification. All work is done to a high standard, in a timely manner whilst working safely. Tasks include bracket installation, primary and secondary containment installation, cable pulling and terminating.
My progression: My career with NG Bailey began in 2016 when I started as a labourer. This experience gave me a good insight into the building services industry, and I successfully enrolled as an electrical apprentice in 2017.
Since qualifying as an electrician in 2021, I now have a development plan in place to become an engineer, starting a building services engineering course in 2022.
So far in my short career I have enjoyed my development with the business. I have seen myself grow from strength to strength, both as a person and professionally. I have been fortunate enough to be supported by both my managers and colleagues and I am looking forward to further progressing my career here.
