Health & Safety remains First & Foremost

We recently received an amazing 11 awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) at its annual awards ceremony, recognising our health and safety successes over the last 12 months.

For the third year running we have received the highly coveted Order of Distinction, RoSPA’s highest accolade in recognition of achieving 17 consecutive Gold Awards, in addition to six President’s Awards, three Gold Medal Awards and one Gold Award, a fantastic result that highlights our ongoing commitment to improving health and safety standards across every part of the NG Bailey Group.

However, it’s not just over the last 12 months we’ve excelled in health and safety standards, at NG Bailey it has always been an integral part of what we do, with our established Safety First & Foremost initiative dating back to 2007.

Ensuring all our people, whether they work on our sites or in our offices, return home safe at the end of every working day has always been priority for us. Forming a core part of our business ethos for almost 15 years, Safety First & Foremost was introduced to put safety at the front of everyone’s mind and create a positive safety culture within the business, especially with us working in an industry where every day safety is vital.

In recent years we have also introduced our 2, 2, 2 process for incident reporting and investigation, together with our ‘Don’t Walk By’ initiative, which aims to encourage hazard and near miss reporting as well as commendable observations of good practice by our teams to ensure we continue to offer a safe and healthy workplace for all.

We hope we can continue to build on this success and put the safety of our people first and foremost for the next 100 years.
