What our workforce has to say

Daniel Dundas

Currently works: Torpoint, Cornwall

My role: Mechanical Site Supervisor - T1

My progression: I started out as an apprentice with NG Bailey 15 years ago and since then I have been given the necessary tools to become a skilled tradesman. From here I moved up into the role of supervisor.

NG Bailey looks at the career paths of their operatives and encourages their progression. My progression is still continuing and I am currently taking a step towards a site engineer role with the intention of completing a HNC in Mechanical Engineering next year.

Over the years, I have enjoyed my career with NG Bailey and had the chance to work on some very interesting projects, which have seen me work in various different project sectors. I'm looking forward to what the future brings.

Tom Richards

Currently works: Torpoint, Cornwall

My role: 4th Year Electrical Apprentice

My progression: I started my apprenticeship with NG Bailey in 2018, and during this time I've worked on a range of engineering projects, including Bristol Business Park and Exeter Rail Depot.

Throughout my four years here, I have been given the necessary support, skills and training to successfully qualify as a competent electrician. I have enjoyed my time with the business and met some great people, all of who shared their knowledge and experience with me, which has contributed to a fulfilling and successful apprenticeship.

I look forward to what my future with NG Bailey will bring and my aim is to work towards being a site supervisor and then move into an engineering role.
