Calling budding engineers in Manchester and Reading

MANCHESTER DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 10TH NG Bailey is offering an exciting opportunity to budding mechanical and electrical engineers from years 10-13, to selected schools across Manchester and Reading. We are providing the opportunity to gain a place on our work experience week, between 28th October – 1st November 2019 (half term week), and potentially be fast-tracked onto one of our apprentice assessment days in early 2020.
The week will provide insight and experience into what our engineers do every day, and the potential projects a career in engineering can lead to. Students will be required to work as part of a group but also think independently to design and present building plans, as well as developing skills in multiple areas through a series of workshops.
The work experience placements will be hosted by NG Bailey engineers and current apprentices at our offices in Manchester and Reading. Successful students will be mentored and provided with the information and skills training.
The closing date for applications is Friday October 4th *. Applications must be completed by a supporting teacher. Candidates will be informed whether they have been successful by the end of the following week.
