ENGINEERING

ENGINEERING - WHAT WE DO

As a leader in its field, NG Bailey’s Engineering division focuses its efforts on truly understanding a customer’s requirements and directly responding to these.

We listen to them and take time to understand their unique goals and ambitions. We provide a tailored response which matches their needs, whether it be just one, or a combination, of the following elements:

Our customers understand that our involvement at the earliest stages of a project allows us to influence solutions that will maximise innovation and deliver time, cost and quality benefits.

Working with the latest technology we offer customers the ability for all stakeholders to collaborate with clear, easy to understand, visual representations of their project. This allows customers to immediately assess potential changes in layout and configuration, thus providing a dynamic response which ensures they are fully informed and in control of their project at all times.

During the construction phase, our ‘Operational Excellence’ approach ensures that safety, quality and programme milestones are guaranteed through rigorous planning and preparation techniques such as - collaborative planning workshops, site specific logistics plans, safety talks, work package target setting and short-term ‘look ahead’ schedules.

We recognise that delivering quality buildings successfully, on time and within budget, is only part of the process.

Enabling our customers to understand, operate and utilise their asset to its full potential is an essential factor in their overall experience, which is why NG Bailey is an advocate of ‘soft landings’ - an initiative providing customers with a clear aftercare service which gradually transitions the knowledge from us to them for a safe, efficient, comfortable and productive building.

WHO WE DO IT FOR

WatermarkPlace

Watermark Place

NG Bailey’s industry-leading reputation for delivering sustainably was enhanced at the 12-storey, 60,000 sq ft Watermark Place development in London. 90 per cent of the £38m project was delivered in 62 weeks and included a condenser water system, presence and daylight sensors
to control lighting, and photovoltaic panels.

Watermark Place – now the London home of Japanese bank Nomura – achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and received the Institution of Civil Engineers London Merit Award, the City’s highest award for civil engineering achievement.

MediaCityUK

MediaCityUK

MediaCityUK is the home for the BBC in the north of England and one of Europe’s biggest, most ambitious and technologically advanced building projects ever undertaken. NG Bailey constructed entirely sound-proof environments and installed more than 24,000 cabling links across the BBC’s three buildings.

The project was completed on time and within budget, making it the fastest project ever delivered of its type in the UK, in terms of spend and installation.
