NG Bailey’s North West Engineering team has kicked off our fundraising efforts for our new Charity partner of the year Alzheimer’s Research UK by raising over £3,000 through a Sportsman’s dinner and a clay shooting challenge.
Over £1650 of the amount raised came from their recent Sportsman’s dinner event which took place at the end of April in Manchester at the Hilton Hotel. More than 230 guests, including NG Bailey employees, our customers and supply chain, were treated to a three course dinner and keynote presentations from ex-professional footballer John Beresford and comedian Austin Knight.
Gillian Edwards from Alzheimer’s Research UK also gave a short introduction to their charity and their ground breaking work.
Paul Briars, Regional Director North West from NG Bailey’s Engineering division said: “Fundraising events such as the Sportsman’s dinner are a great way to bring people together to network while simultaneously raising money for important causes like Alzheimer's Research UK. Thanks to everyone who has participated in our fundraising efforts so far and we are now developing a calendar of events for the coming year in support of this new charity partnership.”
Following an employee vote, NG Bailey has selected our second ever charity of the year, Alzheimer’s Research UK. We will be joining the fight to defeat dementia through our fundraising partnership which aims to raise £75,000 during 2017/18.
