Awards success for apprentice Ethan

Apprentice Ethan Addis has taken a top prize in the Wales and South West region Building Engineering Services Association awards.

Second year apprentice Ethan Addis, 20, has been named Building Services Engineers (BSE) Apprentice of the Year in the Wales and South West region Building Engineering Services Association awards.  He will now go through to the National Awards which will be announced in November.

Praising Ethan, Operations Manager for the South West Darron Jones said: “Ethan has a great attitude and has consistently gone above and beyond what we would expect. He has really pushed himself to learn as much as he can about all aspects of projects and he has happily got ‘stuck in’ to some very challenging tasks.

“I’m delighted to see him taking home the prize as regional BSE apprentice of the year and wish him all the best for the national finals later this year.”

Since joining NG Bailey, Ethan has worked on a project to refurbish the district heating system at the University of Bath and is now supporting a range of other projects. He has also been a great ambassador for NG Bailey’s award-winning apprenticeship scheme by returning to his old school to talk about his training and raise awareness of careers in engineering.
